FUN TIMES ON THE WATERS
2023 Power Boating Lunch Cruise Schedule Set
The 2023 schedule is set as a result of consultations among the NautiLadies, the
Social Committee, Dave Shkor and yours truly. Everyone had an insightful
contribution and suggestion(s). That’s not to say that mother nature won’t have
her impact or that the listed restaurants will not have issues. But it is to say that
we will have the least amount of dumb mistakes on my part in recent history.
Regardless of what obstacles arise, we will persevere! With that introduction,
here is our schedule:
Monday, April 10: The Cottage (Bluffton)
Monday, April 24: Huey’s (Savannah)
Tuesday, May 9: Old Towne Dispensary (Bluffton)
Tuesday, May 23: Flying Fish (Tybee Island)
Wednesday, June 7: Tubby’s Tankhouse (Thunderbolt, GA)
Wednesday, June 21: Hearth (Beaufort)
Wednesday, September 6: 11th Street Fish Camp (Port Royal)
Tuesday, September 19: Daufuskie Crab Company (Daufuskie Island)
Tuesday, October 3: Q on Bay (Beaufort)
Thursday, October 19: The Crab Shack (Tybee Island)
But, as the old Popeil Commercial used to say:
BUT WAIT. THERE’S
MORE!
As he has always done through the years, Dave Shkor has several concepts
that are under consideration. First, a raft up, with attendees bringing hors
d’oeuvres and BYOB, using one or more of our new members’ sailboats as
anchor boats, perhaps behind Middle Marsh Island. Second, a boat/lunch
outing to the Port Royal Maritime Museum; and finally third, a revival of Dave’s
classic Marker Run with intriguing clues to local landmarks and special gifts for
the winners.
And I may try to throw in Dinner Cruises in May, June and/or July to take
advantage of the late sunset times.
Given all this, it should be a memorable year on the water. Be a part of it!
All the best,
Mike Gilroy
